Scott Horne
I’ve been an attorney with Horne and Associates PC in Dallas for 35 years. I’ve been involved in closing some 10,000 creative finance transactions and have purchased, remodeled, and sold over 2,500 single family homes. Additional I’m owner of 1st Option Title and OFN Creative Closings with my partner, Susan Tierney. We also own many other businesses all vertically integrated in real estate. My passion is investing in real estate and my only strategy is Owner Financing, I hold over 300 owner finance notes.
Susan Tierney
Before investing in real estate, I spent 30 years in Sales, Marketing and Public Relations working with many of the country’s largest media firms. I started my own Media agency, Tierney Media in 1988 and it still exists today. My specialty was in helping entrepreneurial companies get their products on the shelves of the nation’s largest retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. I wholesaled my first property in March of 2016. Today I currently hold 100+ Owner Financed Mortgages and it continues to be my primary investment strategies. I’m also partners with Scott Horne in our real estate investment business as well as other real estate related businesses.
Carrie Ann Tucker
With over 25 years of experience in Escrow and Title, as well as a background as a real estate assistant, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the industry. I am a proud mom of five children, two bonus kids, and a Mimi (grandma) to three beautiful grandchildren. My journey has primarily revolved around balancing my professional life with raising my family. My husband and I started our own remodeling business which I also help market. As a former foster parent, I have a deep passion for nurturing and supporting others. I love my family and my dogs, and my loved ones are my greatest motivation each day. Music is my passion, and building meaningful relationships is at the heart of what I do, as I believe that connection is essential in both life and work. I would love to own investment property and buy some up north so I can enjoy the cooler climate during the hot summer months.

I have been happily married for 10 years to my college beloved, and our family moments together are truly valued. I also enjoy Disco music, ballroom dancing, and good Estate sale.

What’s the most favorite part of your job? Working in a fast-paced environment, and helping people achieve their goals of buying or selling properties. I enjoy clearing title on the difficult properties. What do you like to do when you are not working? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love college football. If you really knew me….you’d know? I like to follow the rules at work, but not in life…
Yolanda Bruce
What is my favorite part of the job? Working with a great team that has the same mission: Make our clients happy! I have 20 years in Customer Service and 10 years in the Title industry. I have been married to my amazing husband for 38 years. I have 3 amazing children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Family is everything to me! What do you like to do when you're not working? I like to spend time with my family and traveling.

Meet Stefanie Tavares, your Seasoned Escrow Officer, with an impressive 34 years of experience in the Title and Escrow Industry. With over 15 years in management, she has honed her expertise in residential transactions, always prioritizing top-notch customer service. Known for her unwavering commitment to exceeding customer expectations, Stefanie takes pride in facilitating smooth closings for all parties. She is thrilled to have joined the new 1st Option Title team in Arizona and eager to support all Escrow Officers by contributing her skills with teamwork to insure many successful closings. In her spare time, she is a dedicated gardener, a proud “MeMe” of two precious grandchildren, and enjoys daily walks with her toy Aussie Shepherd.

Berenice, known to most as Bernie, proudly serves as the Marketing Manager. She holds a Marketing degree from UT Dallas and brings a broad range of experience across multiple industries, with a strong focus on nonprofit work, a passion that reflects her deep commitment to community impact. Bernie is driven by the power of marketing to inspire, foster connection, and bring people together. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her on the pickleball court or actively supporting causes close to her heart.

I'm Alexandra, a Title Assistant with a strong background as a Transaction Coordinator in both traditional and creative real estate transactions. My TC experience allows me to anticipate challenges, stay highly organized, and ensure every file moves smoothly from start to finish. As a proud military spouse and mother of two beautiful children, my family is my greatest motivation. I am known as a problem solver who always brings solutions with professionalism and care. My long-term goal is to continue growing in the title industry and one day become an Escrow Officer.
Veronica Del Rey
I’m Veronica, and I’m excited to join the company as your AZ Senior Escrow Officer. I’ve had my finger on the pulse of the real estate industry since 1993, when I started out as an escrow secretary back when I was very young. I’ve grown up in this business, and I’m proud to bring decades of escrow experience along with my bilingual background to the team. Outside of work, I’m a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, which makes Sundays entertaining since my partner, Tino, is a Raiders fan. I’m the mom of four adult daughters, the grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters, and I’m excited to welcome another granddaughter in June 2026. At home, my true bosses are my three dogs — two Great Danes and a Yorkie who is absolutely convinced he runs the household. When I’m not working or managing the chaos, I enjoy playing softball… assuming I’m not sidelined by an injury. I’m looking forward to being part of this team and contributing to our continued success.
